Who Should Join?

Our members are independent, locally owned businesses, farms, non-profit organizations, individuals and other groups that are committed to building a strong community and thriving local economy. 

Please take a moment to answer the following questions to determine if you qualify for a business membership:

1. Is your business privately held (not publicly traded)?

2. Does more than 50% of the business' ownership live in the Washington Metropolitan area?

3. Do you operate independently from a large corporation and have the autonomy to make decisions about the business and its purchasing, operations and distribution, including the name and look of your business?

 

If you answered yes to all of the questions, we welcome you to become a Business Member.  If you answered no to any of the questions, we encourage you to join Local First DC as an Individual, Non-Profit Organization or Supporter.
