Local First DC offers different types of membership for business owners, individuals, non-profit organizations and supporters of our cause. To find out which membership type best suits you, please answer these questions.
BUSINESS MEMBER
Business membership is determined by last year's annual revenue.
$50: Business with sales <$250k
$75: Business with sales between $250k - $500k
$125: Business with sales $500k - $750k
$200: Business with sales >$750k
As a Business Member of Local First DC your membership includes:
- Think Local First campaign marketing materials, including poster and window decals
- Lisiting in Members Directory that will be distributed city-wide
- Listing in web directory, which is linked to other campaign sites nationally
- Participate in clean energy program and save money on your electricity bills
- 20% off any size online, mobile phone and print ad in City Living Source, DC's only GREEN direct mail magazine!
- Discounted payment processing
- Monthly networking events with like-minded business owners
- Free entrance to events
- E-newsletters with Local First DC updates, events and member promotions
- Market your promotions and events in our Local First DC e-newsletters
- Access to the Business Alliance of Living Local Economies (BALLE), a national network of 15,000 locally-owned businesses.
- Advocacy for your interests sponsored by LEDC
INDIVIDUAL MEMBER - $25
For individuals who wish to support our efforts!
Membership includes:
- E-newsletters with Local First DC updates, events and member promotions
- Discounted entrance fees to events
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS - $75
For organizations whose values align with those of Local First DC.
Membership includes:

- Discounted entrance fees to events
SUPPORTER - Any Amount
